Needles clicking, tea steeping, cats asleep on everything — this is the coziest room Seul Grim has ever drawn, and that is saying something. This wonderfully warm 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle from Magnolia is the fourth illustration in the beloved Seul Grim series, and it's the most intricately detailed interior yet. A crafting room so lovingly cluttered, so richly stocked with yarn and books and sleeping cats, that assembling it feels like settling in for the best kind of winter evening.
Seul Grim's Knitting Time is an ode to the handmade, the homey, and the gloriously, comfortably cluttered — a room so full of personality and warmth that every inch of it tells a story. At the center, a young woman in a pink bunny-print cardigan sits at a yellow gingham-clothed table, knitting needles in hand and a length of red knitting already underway. A cup of green tea and a plate of pastries sit within easy reach, yarn balls in pink and blue rest on the table alongside pattern sheets, pencils, and crafting tools. To her left, an overflowing bookshelf holds binders, craft books, a vintage clock, and a basket of colorful yarn at the top — inside which a striped cat has made itself entirely at home. A black-and-white cat sprawls across a stack of books on the lower left, nose resting on a red rose in a teacup planter. On the right, a sewing machine sits on a counter with another cat draped across it in a state of total repose. A vintage green camping lantern glows on the right foreground, a teddy bear clutches a blue book on the upper shelf, postcards and notes are pinned to a board, a small potted plant sits on the counter, and through the window behind the blinds, a deep night-blue sky with stars hints at the winter evening outside. In the lower foreground, a tabby cat walks past in novelty smiley-face socks — yes, the cat is wearing socks. This Magnolia jigsaw is the most wonderfully specific cozy room puzzle you will ever assemble.
