Hammock strung, watermelon in hand, fan on full, cats napping — this is summer, absolutely nailed. This wonderfully breezy 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle from Magnolia is the third delightful illustration in Seul Grim's lineup, and it might be the most summery, lush, and purely relaxing scene yet. The Korean artist's signature overhead perspective and soft watercolor style capture a balcony afternoon so perfectly rendered that assembling it practically feels like a cool breeze on a hot day.
Seul Grim's Hammock Fun is a masterclass in the art of doing absolutely nothing — and doing it beautifully. The scene is set on a lush, plant-filled balcony viewed from a gentle overhead angle, where a young woman with dark hair and round glasses reclines in a blue-striped hammock, biting into a slice of watermelon with complete contentment. A parasol umbrella shades her from above, an electric fan hums nearby on the decking, and an orange tabby cat sprawls across her feet in the deepest, most committed summer nap imaginable. The balcony is a green paradise — potted succulents, monstera leaves, spider plants, and climbing red trumpet flowers spill from every surface and railing, creating a dense, botanical frame that gives the entire scene a lush, hothouse warmth. A stool beside the hammock holds sliced watermelon and a cold drink with a straw, and more watermelon pieces sit on a small plate nearby — the official fruit of this particular afternoon. Through the window behind her, a black-and-white cat sits at a desk looking vaguely judgmental, while a fluffy white cat sleeps on a windowsill to the right, living its own version of the perfect summer day. Below the balcony railing, more lush greenery cascades downward, and a small sparrow perches among the leaves. This Magnolia jigsaw is pure summer joy, piece by piece
